We’re all spending more and more time at home – and now’s as good a time as any to invest in your own peace of mind. Everyone has their own way of dealing with stress and change.
Some people are out there right now learning a new skill, getting lost in their own head space, retreating into their shells, or quite simply sitting around at home trying to pass the time. This quarantine has been hard on all of us, and now, more than ever, it’s important for us to invest in things that provide us comfort and release.
If you’ve found yourself in similar situations this quarantine period, or if you’re feeling drained and uncomfortable with the state of the world, why not use what you have to give yourself some peace of mind? Home appliances are all the rage lately, and one of the best and biggest investments you can make in your own home today is a Smart TV.
If you’ve never owned a Smart TV, or would like to upgrade to a newer model, there are plenty of great options out there that provide varying degrees of convenience and versatility. Across the board, Smart TVs give you access to infinitely more content than a traditional TV can, especially since it taps into any and all content you can find on the worldwide web.

Smart TVs Buyer’s Guide
Buying a Smart TV can be a big investment no matter how you look at it, so it’s important to put some thought and research into your product of choice before you decide to purchase. If you’re in the market for a new Smart TV, consider the following factors before you buy:
Display Size
Measured diagonally and in inches, a Smart TV’s display size determines how big of a picture you’re going to get when you’re watching TV. Bigger screens may mean a bigger picture overall, but don’t forget to check out the resolution, too, so you know how clear and sharp the image is going to be.
Resolution
Resolution determines pixel density, which in term determines the quality of the picture being produced by your Smart TV. Today, the standard is set at 4K Ultra HD resolution which results in super clear and crisp images with astounding detail and quality.
That said, 4K Ultra HD Smart TVs are generally a lot more expensive than lower-resolution counterparts, and unless you’re planning on streaming actual 4K content, you’re better off with a Full HD Smart TV with 1080p resolution instead. You can go lower than that, too, but we highly recommend getting at least 1080p if you’re buying a Smart TV in 2021.
Smart Features
Depending on which Smart TV you get, you’ll be able to enjoy a variety of smart features. Most Smart TVs today can offer the standard features – internet connectivity, dedicated apps, etc. – but some brands offer a much more polished, in-house user experience.
Samsung, for example, offers Tizen OS, a sleek and powerful operating system for Smart TVs that offers a ton of features and improvements over more common platforms. Most other Smart TV options come with rudimentary Android TV.

User Review
Colour is lovely but a lot of programmes seem to have 'milky' look, not looking as good as my previous Samsung which wasn't a smart tv. I have tried all the expert settings but it makes no difference.

Guide to Smart TV in Malaysia
What does a smart TV do?
Most smart TVs come pre-loaded with streaming services (like Netflix, YouTube, and Hulu) and allow users to download and install additional apps to further expand their range of options.
Smart TVs also let users access other internet-based content, such as social media, web browsers, and more.
Some smart TVs even come with voice activated assistants, such as Alexa, enabling users to control their TV with verbal commands. All in all, smart TVs offer users access to an incredible range of content, entertainment, and features.
What is the disadvantage of smart TV?
A hacker can easily gain access to the user's personal information, such as passwords and banking information. It is important to keep the software on the TV updated, and to use a good security system to keep your data safe.
Furthermore, Smart TVs can be expensive and require specialized cables and adapters. They have limited storage as well, so downloading a lot of content can quickly saturate the available storage.
Another disadvantage is the slow response times when streaming content, leading to a frustrating experience.
What is the difference between smart TV and regular TV?
A regular TV does not come with these features; one must purchase and install additional devices, such as gaming consoles, streaming sticks and set-top boxes to achieve similar results.
Smart TVs are also more energy efficient, and they are usually connected to other interactive functions like voice commands, allowing users to control their TVs with voice commands.
Why are smart TVs so cheap now?
First, advances in technology have made smart TVs much more powerful than in the past, but at a fraction of the cost of earlier models.
This means that manufacturers are able to offer more features and better performance at lower prices.
Moreover, competition from other electronics manufacturers has caused prices to drop significantly.
The increasing availability of internet-based services and apps has also enabled manufacturers to provide more features at lower prices.
And lastly, more people are now buying smart TVs, pushing down prices even further.
