Sori Yanagi Is A Renowned Japanese Designer Who Was Born In Tokyo In 1915. His Father, Soetsu Yanagi, Was A Promoter Of Mingei (Japanese Folk Art) And The Founder Of The Nihon Mingeikan, The Folk Crafts Museum Of Japan. Sori Studied Art And Architecture In Tokyo Art School And Was Heavily Inspired By Le Corbusier And Charlotte Perriand. Post World War Ii, He Designed Furniture, Three-Wheeled Vehicles, Olympic Cauldrons, Pedestrian Overpasses And A Variety Of Kitchenware And Tableware. His Most Celebrated Design, The Butterfly Chair, Was Released In 1954 And Manufactured By Nihon Yoshokki Co Ltd In The Tsubame City Of Niigata Prefecture In Japan.
