Sori Yanagi Was A Renowned Japanese Designer Born In 1915. His Father, Soetsu Yanagi, Was A Major Figure In “Mingei (Japanese Folk Art)” Promotion. Sori Yanagi Was An Alumnus Of Tokyo Art School And Was Inspired By Renowned Architects And Designers Such As Le Corbusier And Charlotte Perriand. He Had A Huge Influence In Designing Products Like Furniture, A Three-Wheeled Vehicle, An Olympic Cauldron, And Pedestrian Overpass. In 1954, Sori Yanagi Designed The Water Kettle And The Butterfly Chair Which Won The Good Design Award 2000. The Kettle Is Manufactured By Nihon Yoshokki Co Ltd, Which Is Based In Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. This Manufacturer Is The Center Of Cutlery And Steel Manufacturing And Produces Most Of Sori Yanagi'S Kitchenware And Tableware.
